Food Matters

Food Matters; a holistic approach to weightloss

Teacher: Trish Manning

Cost: $12 pre-registration, $15 at the door

Weight gain might be a side-effect of inflammation or a diet high in refined sugar
and carbohydrates; or, it could be related to poor gut health – not digesting or
metabolizing your food efficiently. It could also be that your hormones – insulin
and cortisol – are out of whack because of stress? Perhaps, your less than happy
mood is at the root of cravings for starchy, processed carbs. Learn ways that will
lead to a healthier you and may even help you to trim those pounds off.
The presentation begins with a three-minute guided meditation, followed by the
topic presentation. As a participant, you are encouraged to ask questions, share,
and engage in discussion to get the most out of this opportunity. The session will
close with a "Call to Action" - you will be encouraged to pick one thing that will
help you to begin this process of a holistic approach to eating for weight loss and
to maintain health.

Life Process, and Meditation
Quality of life is key for me, and that means creating a life rhythm or life balance
that is life enhancing - thriving not just surviving - creating non-negotiable food
and lifestyle habits that are just part of who I am. My personal health journey
over the past 6 years has been transformational. Let me guide and support you in
this process of becoming a more vibrant, healthier you.
